British Virgin Islands Weather
There is an old saying in the Caribbean that claims rain is just
liquid sunshine. The tropical climate of the British Virgin Islands
is tropical, with most days reaching well into the 70s and low 80s
during the day and dropping comfortably to the 70s at night. The
sun usually shines with light showers (when they do happen) rolling
out as fast as they rolled in. The trade winds help to keep the
weather balmy year-round.
The official hurricane season lasts from June to November and the
British Virgin Islands have bounced back from their share of hurricanes.
The peak season for the islands run mid-December to mid-April,
when precipitation is relatively low. The height of the off-season
tends to be during North American summer months and has less to
do with the weather of the Virgin Islands, though hurricanes are
prevalent, but more to do with tourists looking to escape from the
warm weather of their home town to less tropical locations.
