Although the grounds and public areas are attractive, the rooms are thrift store meets pretension and everything from uncomfortable chairs to Army Quartermaster furniture offends the eye. Amenities are sadly lacking...after the first night, you must request refills of shampoo etc. There is never a makeup mirror, shower cap, q-tips, cotton balls, etc. provided. There are no local magazines, phone books or hotel guides in the rooms. At $455 a night, plus an additional $25 a night spa fee, regardless of whether you use the spa or not, one expects a level of pampering that is non-existant at this hotel.
