Obviously, the farther north you go the colder temperatures get. Average daily temperatures for the winter months are around -2 C and typically around 16 C during the summer. Stockholm receives precipitation year round. During the cold months the lakes and canals freeze. Rarely, perhaps only once or twice per decade, the sea will also freeze over.
