Its situation on the Pacific coast makes for a mild climate, though like Seattle the city is sometimes associated with its rainfall. Bring a slicker and keep to your outdoor plans; chances are it won’t last too long (at least in summertime), and you’ve got to enjoy those sixteen hours of daily sunlight while you’re here! In summer the average temperature is in the lower 20s (60s or 70s F), and it’s the winter months that are the rainiest (high temp 5º, average temp zero, or the lower 40s F).
