Getting Around Aruba

Aruba has public buses that can take you to most locations on the island. The frequent scheduled service runs to many areas Monday through Saturday from 6 am until 6 pm, with less frequent service from 6 pm until midnight. On Sundays and holidays, buses operate a light schedule between 6 am and 6 pm. When boarding the bus, make sure you have exact change. One way and round trip tickets are also available. A one-way ticket is $1.50, and round-trip fare is $2. Stops are marked by a yellow road signs. If you want to see the island in more detail, rent a bike or scooter. You’ll pay about $5 per hour or $25 per day for a basic bicycle and $35 per day for a scooter. The roads are in decent condition so traveling on your own is safe and a fun way to learn your way around the island.
