Las Vegas Culture
|
Las Vegas is defined by its
live and let live attitude. The city has given all new meaning
to the phrase over indulgence. You can gamble, eat, smoke,
and drink until you heart is content. Drink, eat, and be merry
might be good motto for Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is home to entertainers, showgirls, professional
gamblers, and some of the world’s best
|
chefs. Many aspiring performers have found a home in Las Vegas.
Folks do what they have to, to make it in Las Vegas. A cab driver
by day may work as a showgirl by night. It’s not surprising
that many of the people around Las Vegas don’t look so healthy.
However, most locals try to avoid the strip whenever possible. With
its sprawling residential areas, warm climate, and secure economy
Las Vegas is becoming a popular retirement area.

Las Vegas Shopping
|
Almost everything in Las Vegas
is located in or next to a strip mall. Furthermore, almost every
major casino has its own uniquely themed shopping arcade. The
most noteworthy are located in the Hotel and Mandalay Bay, Caesars
Palace, and Aladdin. So if you hit it big, you’ll have
amble opportunities to spend your winnings. In each of these
arcades you’ll find a wide variety of stores like Perry
Ellis, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger. There are also a number
of shopping |
malls off the strip including the Fashion Show Mall, the Meadows,
and the Boulevard Mall where you’ll find all the best department
stores.
If you get burned out on shopping malls, take a drive down Maryland
Parkway, which runs parallel to the Las Vegas Strip. There are a
number of quality stores in addition to a Target.
Most people don’t think of antiquing when they think of Las
Vegas. However, there are some great shops along East Charleston
Boulevard worth browsing. If you’re shopping for souvenirs
just take a walk down Las Vegas Blvd. You’ll have no problem
finding some of the tackiest souvenirs imaginable.
No matter where you go or what you do, you’ll find great
shopping around every corner in Las Vegas.
