Getting Around New Zealand
With the rather small size of New Zealand, most destinations are
not far from each other and the government provides a network of
air, train and taxis. This makes public transportation relatively
easy. You have many other options as well, such as motorhomes or
rental cars for traveling throughout the country. The roads are
well kept, so this is a very comfortable way to travel and you will
have the freedom to roam as you choose.
If you do not want to do the driving yourself, you can take a bus
or coach that link up with rail and ferry operators. These travel
down the entire country.
If your destination is nearby, the New Zealand Taxi Federation
is a good option. It has safe and quick services, including taxi,
limousine, wheelchair, airport transport, tours and airport shuttles.
