Ever-Changing Scenery .
You will experience ever-changing scenery
and exotic terrain in the land of Peru. An intriguing country
with rich history, gastronomy, and landscape awaits you. Peru
has scenery that changes through every city—you can
explore the streets of Lima
and its beaches and large government buildings, wander the
quaint town of Cuzco
and run into the Peruvian women selling their homemade crafts
on the street. Trek up high into the clouds to discover the
ancient treasure Machu
Picchu. You can even follow the old Inca trail, ending
at this old jeweled city. Head further east and encounter
the lush, mysterious Amazon Rainforest. National parks, as
part of the Amazon, abound the eastern part of the country.
Full of palm trees, exotic flowers,
monkeys, and parakeets, you will never experience
a dull moment exploring these uninhabited lands. Just beware
of the crocodiles that show up out of nowhere! The Peruvian
landscape also offers you the snow-capped Andean mountains,
a gorgeous backdrop to the already beautiful terrain. The
mountains are home to the highland Indians, stilling living
the traditional way of life and speaking in their traditional
tongue. For even more diversity, from rainforests to mountains,
Peru has its share of coastal deserts with rolling dunes.
Off the beaten path, you can find traditional fishing villages
and farmlands. The culture, ever-changing scenery, an abundance
of art and craft shopping, to the savory ceviche meal and
pico sour drink, Peru is a rich country that is a must-see
for the tourist traveling to South America.
