The easiest way to through Puerto Vallarta is by bus and taxi. It’s easy
to hail down a bus or a taxi on any major street and using public
transport will save you the hassle of driving and finding parking
which is difficult when the city is at its fullest. In the downtown
area, bus stops are marked with blue and white signs. From November
through April there is often quite a bit of traffic in the center
of town.
Buses are also available to reach the small towns to the south
of Puerto Vallarta. They take off from Constitución and Basilio
Badillo and take Hwy 200 to get to the small beaches along the bay.
If you need directions, approach a police officer dressed in white
with a blue hat. These are the tourist police and they can help
orient you.
