Seattle. |
Microsoft & Starbucks
Empire.
If
you’re looking for a “green” vacation, Seattle
is the place to go. Often times, this city doesn’t even
feel like it is a metropolis; majestic mountains surround
its skyline, water laps at its side and beautiful parks offer
respite from its street noise. In fact, the city offers half
a dozen gardens and miles of trails that carve through nature.
There is more than 4,000 acres of natural parks in and around
the city, offering locals and tourists alike some fresh air
in the city.
Not to be overly simplified, Seattle does
have a lot more to offer than just its parks. It has long
been popular for its eclectic music scene, particularly in
the early 1990s when grunge was born with big-
name brands like Nirvana and
Pearl Jam. Since then, the city has become even more famous
for its homegrown talent that ushered in the likes of Microsoft
and the Starbucks empire, which has no doubt influenced the
coffee market regardless of where you live. And, of course,
it offers the mainstream attractions that keep tourists flocking
in year after year, including the 605-foot tall Space
Needle. So whether you’re looking for a little time
in the sun, or to explore and have some attraction-based fun,
both you and your family will find a little bit of everything
in Seattle.
