Washington Dc. |
The Capital City.
Metropolitan
cities are common in the northeast United States. Consequently,
Washington DC is often over-looked as a vacation destination.
However, Washington DC is the capital of the United States,
the hub of the government’s power, and the home of many
great leaders, past and present. With that in mind, Washington
DC provides a unique experience to its visitors. Landmarks
of historical, cultural and political importance including
the White House, the Washington Monument and the Capital Building
are all around the city. There is so much to see. Washington
DC has as much if not more to offer visitors then any other
U.S. city. Washington DC is inherently conservative with stately
architecture, magnificent parks, immaculate landscaping and
diplomatic streets. City planners actually modeled the city after the “Great European Capitals”.
One could fittingly call Washington DC the modern day Rome.
