San Diego is California’s second largest city, the United
States’ seventh largest city and is growing considerably.
With nearly 1.3 million residents and more than 2.8 million
countywide, San Diego encompasses many smaller communities
including Coronado, La Jolla, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Escondido,
and Little Italy, to name just a few.
With its nickname “America’s
Finest City,” San Diego is the ideal for tourists. It
maintains a nearly perfect climate year round, has miles of
striking sandy beaches for tanning or surfing, and world-famous
attractions including the legendary San
Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, renowned SeaWorld
San Diego, and the illustrious Balboa Park.
San Diego appeals to visitors of all walks of life. There are so many things to do in San Diego. For those
wishing a relaxing vacation, the beach and miles of luscious
green parks is inviting. For those who crave adventure and
sports, you can rent a surfboard, a kayak or snorkel gear,
or even visit one of the nearly 100 golf courses along the
coastline. You can even take in one of the many sporting events
from the San Diego Padres to the Chargers. For those with
families, the zoo or SeaWorld is the precise spot to amuse
anyone of any age.
In San Diego’s East County, you will find varying terrain
with small foothills to mountains for the hikers. In the North
Country, visitors will find large quantities of flowers and
grapes that produce fine wines served as upscale restaurants
and resorts. The miles of coastline offers year-round exercise
from surfing, boating, sailing, swimming and training for
triathletes. Just to the south is Mexico, featuring its own
completely different cuisine and culture. You can even take
a small day trip to another country.
San Diego is the epitome of vacation heaven. The city offers
plenty to do for any type of vacationer at any age. The most
difficult part of visiting is just trying to fit everything
