Atlantic City. |
The New Jersey Shore.
Developed as an extension of Philadelphia
during the late 19th century, Atlantic City is now well known
by international vacationers. It has become the second city
that never sleeps, after Las Vegas. With lines of casinos,
amusement parks and scores of entertainment venues, the city
is always alive with its party atmosphere. At all hours you
can take in a casino show, go bowling or enjoy live music
at the Hard Rock Café, Atlantic City Bar & Grill
or the Flying Cloud.
The city remains a top spot for the young
and old because it has something for everyone. You can try
your luck at the Trump Taj Mahal or other large casino/hotels.
If you like to relax, you can work on your tan at the scenic
Jersey shore with miles of beaches. If you don’t
want to gamble or swim, the
4 ½ mile Boardwalk
offers amusement rides and plenty of quick dining. You will
also find championship golf courses, tennis, historic sites
and shopping.
For the budget conscious, Atlantic City is the perfect getaway
for a weekend trip. Transportation and food are inexpensive
and most hotels offer
buffets with your stay. You do not need to dine at expensive
restaurants
either, you’ll find hot dogs, French fries, salt water
taffy and ice cream all around the city.
